"Envisioning Peace" Series |
 |
This series of work began when I was reading and thinking about the Buddhists in Tibet caught up in the extreme violence during the Chinese invasion, those that escaped, and those still living there today. I decided to make a sculpture titled "Envisioning Peace " for every person in Tibet who stood and acted in non-violence in the face of death. This particular series of sculptures with individually hand sculpted faces are dedicated to all these people, so as their teachings, beliefs and courageous actions of non violence could touch all our hearts and inspire us to have the same courage to take a non violent stance viewpoint, no matter what difficulties or dilemmas we may face in our daily lives, - despite how very tempting it may be at times to do the opposite…
From this series, four other sculptures have emerged; all titled “Envisioning Peace”. All are small, and fit in the palm of your hand, which makes them feel personal and somehow loveable.
Designed to burn incense sticks in symbolic third eye.
Price: $15.00 -$25.00 |

"The Vessel" Envisioning Peace Series |
 |
This sculpture “The Vessel” is the last of the sculptures in the Envisioning Peace Series (for now), and I designed this sculpture to hold incense sticks for all the Envisioning going on with the other sculptures in the series. I love the thought of the considerable number of sculptures in the “Envisioning Peace” Series that have made their way to all parts of Australia and around the world, because if the principles of the hundredth monkey story are true (email me for details if you don’t know it), we will topple mass consciousness into a peaceful state of being any day now from the comfort of our lounge rooms. Now THAT’S power, and this little sculpture is designed to hold the ammunition for this peaceful revolution, which is why it is titled “The Vessel”.
Designed to hold incense sticks

"The Prayer" Envisioning Peace Series |
 |
These sculptures were born out of thinking about different religions and how the silent prayer, for peace in the world and personal happiness, resonates within us all regardless of what religion we practice (or don’t) or what culture we are born into. This series of work,“ The Prayer” are an expression of that concept and perhaps a prayer of my own for peace and acceptance between people of different religions, as that is when world peace will become a reality.
Designed to burn incense (in hands) Palm size.
Price: $15.00 -$25.00 |

"Strength" Series |
|
This series of original works titled "Strength" begins with a basic form that I alter, bringing to life each uniquely, voluptuous sculpture... each dancing their own song in beautiful movement that is both gentle and powerful. Within this series there are many different variations, all exploring the concept of an alternate definition of what strength actually means
